Hello Ridge members and guests. I am so excited to share my latest endeavor with you! But first, a little background info…

After being a personal trainer on and off for 14 years (the last 4 at the Ridge,) I have met many people who are on type 2 diabetes meds, heart disease meds, have lost and gained weight repeatedly, who have chronic inflammation, low energy, uncontrollable cravings and the list goes on and on. While I can readily write you an exercise program, I have little to offer in the way of nutritional advice when I wish I did. In an even bigger picture, the awareness that childhood obesity is now an epidemic renders feelings of such helplessness and deep frustration in me that to do nothing about it would mean living a life unfulfilled.

So, after a year of searching for “how” and “where” to get the education I have been starving for,  several beautiful serendipitous events happened within 2 weeks that led me down the road to becoming a Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Now, having received my Health Coach Certification and loving every minute of it, I am happy to report that this is the greatest event of my life since my marriage 5 years ago. Not a day passes that I don’t want to reach out to you and share an incredible, life altering piece of information that I have recently learned through the school. Simultaneously, I am uncovering my own unhealthy habits and making changes in my own diet so that I can walk the talk and know from experience the challenges and rewards of overcoming cravings and addictions to unhealthy foods and lifestyle choices.

    Congratulations for the initiative because it is very important to maintain a healthy diet, the body needs a daily good hydration and nutrition. Greetings!
